| Std 5 - Outing to the “Bombay Natural History Society”, Fort. Mumbai. |
The children of Std. 5 visited the BNHS on 25/03/09 and 26/03/09. The BNHS collections represent the rich biodiversity of India.
Children were fascinated to see rare specimens of insects, birds and animals. Several extinct species were also represented in the invaluable collection of specimens. Exhaustive information was provided by the resource person at the BNHS.
It was an exciting learning experience for all. |

| Std 6 - Visit to the “Prince of Wales Museum”, Fort. Mumbai. |
The children of Std. 6 went for a visit to the “Prince of Wales Museum” to see the section on the “Indus Valley Civilization”.
This visit was planned to help the children to understand and appreciate the planning of the early civilizations and to be able to compare it with our modern day planning vis-à-vis the city of Mumbai. |

| Std 7 - Visit to the “Harmony Art Exhibition 2009”. |
The children of Std. 7 visited the Harmony Art Exhibition on 19th of March 2009. The show was held at the “Chatrapati Shivaji Vaastu Sangrahaalaya” in the Coomaraswamy hall.
This exhibition displayed paintings done by artists specialised in the miniature school of painting. The children observed this style of painting for its minute detailing, the spectacular rendering of drapery, the elaborate landscapes and their colour combinations and depth.
It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to understand why our traditional style of paintings are so unique. |
