The membership of the Cathedral School Parent Teacher Association (CSPTA) comprises the entire parent body of the school as well as the teachers. The Association functions with the help of an executive committee assisted by room representatives for each class.
The aim of the CSPTA is to foster co-operation between the parents, the school and the teachers. It seeks to assist the authorities in whichever way it may be called upon to do so. It also seeks to promote the educational interests and welfare of the school children. The General Body meetings provide a platform for the exchange of ideas and matters concerning the education and well being of the children.
Through the extensive network of room representatives, support is provided not only in extra-curricular fields but also in mass mobilisation and transportation of the students in crisis situations. |

| An ongoing activity of the CSPTA is the running of the lunch scheme for the school. This facility enables the children to avail of a hot meal at lunch time. Efforts are constantly underway to improve the menus and nutritive content of the meals. |
