The Cathedral School offers its students a plethora of sports activities. Apart from the weekly feature of Physical Education and House Games, students are coached in a variety of sports. Inherent talent is spotted during Inter-House matches.


Students participate in Inter-School, District, Zonal, State and National level competitions. House and School teams are formed for football, basketball, cricket, rugby, throwball and water polo. Students can also participate in the individual category for athletics, badminton, table tennis, swimming, chess, gymnastics, squash and tennis.
 
DOUBLE VICTORY FOR CATHEDRAL!

At the recently held Maharashtra Anglo-Indian Schools Inter-School Tournament (under-nineteen) at The Bishops Co-Ed School, Pune , The Cathedral and John Connon School clinched not only the Boys Football title, but also the first ever Girls Basketball trophy! The girls from Cathedral and John Connon defeated seven other Anglo-Indian schools from all over Maharashtra to become the champions.


The Final Match between Bombay Scottish, Mahim, and Cathedral School , was a very exciting one with the Captain Tahini Moitra and Vice Captain Saakshi Chadha leading the team to victory defeating  them 29-25. Disha Chaudhry from the Cathedral School was not only awarded the title of The Best Player of the Tournament, but also declared the second best scorer having scored 62 baskets.


Meanwhile, the Cathedral School Football overcame stiff opposition from the Barnes School, Deolali in the group stages, scraping a nail-biting 3-2 victory. The final match was played between Christ Church School and The Cathedral School, where Cathedral scored a comfortable 2-0 victory over their opponents. Both goals were skilfully crafted free-kicks, with Siddarth Singh and Rohan Thakur getting on the end on the crosses from Dhruv Toshniwal on both sides of the half. Along with winning the coveted trophy, Siddarth Singh also bagged the award for The Best Player of the tournament.

“The girls and boys put in a lot of effort to put on a good show and their hard work has paid off with their triumph both football and basketball! They have made Cathedral very proud,” said a proud principal,
