After a six month hiatus, the Cathedral Workshop team kickstarted the new season of workshops on the 24th of October. On calm Sunday afternoon, 30 educators and speech teachers, were initiated into the world of Articulation.
Mrs. Aggarwal spoke eloquently on the role of the teacher as a model not just of excellent behaviour, but also a model of excellent speech. She led an interactive session spanning nearly 5 hours and introduced her listeners to concepts like sentence stress, word stress, syllabification, phrasing and punctuation.
Many of her listeners were listening to these concepts for the first time and enthusiastically attacked the worksheet and activities she set up.
By popular demand, we are now intending to hold a two day workshop, early in 2010, where Mrs Aggarwal will help educators gain a deeper insight and understanding of clear speech.
